We must not cling to a symbol
Our hope can not rest in steel or wood
We cling to the One who made us
Having faith, trusting in His truth and mercy
We don't need these "Christian" symbols
To help us worship and pray
We just look inside to see
What is truly there upon the throne of our hearts
Our crosses and our jewelry
With our Christian flags
They're only reminders of who we
